We do not have any studies of MitoQ being used in companion animals but we do have several customer reports of dogs (and horses) being given MitoQ with great results.
Yes, it is possible to give MitoQ to dogs and we would suggest using our MitoQ Joint product for this. MitoQ is better absorbed on an empty stomach so it would be best to administer it away from meal times, perhaps hidden in a small food treat if the dog won't eat the softgel capsules by themselves. We'd suggest a dosage of one capsule per day for an animal this weight, but if the dog has any serious health concerns, this could be increased to 2 capsules per day after a couple of weeks at if it is well tolerated. Once the health condition has improved we would recommend going back to 1 capsule per day.
