What are Mitochondria?

Mitochondria make energy, called ATP, for your cells to function. They also boost overall efficiency of your cellular functioning, thereby increasing your metabolism. The mitochondrial health of each cell determines the performance of that cell.

Mitochondria are the tiny power plants that every cell has. They combine the food we eat and the air that we breathe to generate the energy that our cells need to operate. If our cells don’t get the energy they need, they can’t do all the jobs they're tasked with. That's why our mitochondria are so important.
