How does a MitoQ subscription work?

A MitoQ subscription is based off a 4-week cycle. When you make a subscription purchase, we process your order and charge your payment option selected for your first months’ worth. 4 weeks after your initial purchase we will charge your payment method and process your corresponding months order.

You can view, edit or cancel your subscription at any time by logging into your account here and then viewing the ‘view subscriptions’ tab. Under this section you should have the option to edit shipping address and payment information for future subscription deliveries. We also have the option to skip a future delivery or cancel the subscription altogether if needed.

Please note: if you have an order that just processed or is in transit, any changes you make will be applied to your next, unprocessed order.

Subscription billing information

When you purchase a MitoQ subscription we charge your payment method for the first month’s order, then process and dispatch the corresponding order. It then works on a 4-week cycle going forward. 4 weeks after your initial purchase you will be charged again, and your corresponding subscription order will be dispatched.

Please note:

  • Subscription recurrences will be charged in USD for orders based in the US and in NZD for the rest of the world.
  • We can only accept Credit Card (Visa, Mastercard and American Express) for our subscription service and do not currently accept PayPal as a payment method.

You can also view your upcoming subscription processing dates (future dates that your order will be charged and processed on) once logged into your MitoQ account under the ‘view upcoming deliveries’ section.

How can I update my subscription payment and billing information?

By logging in to your MitoQ account and navigating to the “Manage Payment Options” section you’ll be able to view, add or delete any saved credit card information.

Please note: if you have an order that just processed or is in transit, any changes you make will be applied to your next, unprocessed order.

When will I receive my MitoQ subscription each month?

Subscriptions are set to be renewed every 4 weeks starting from your first delivery. This means your subscription order will be processed after a 4-week period and dispatched from one of our distribution warehouses within 2 working days. Can I skip or delay my next delivery?

Once you have an active subscription you can login to your MitoQ account to view or alter your plan. This includes the option to skip your next delivery or one in the future. You can find this by signing in here and clicking into “Your Plan”, and then clicking the "Edit Date" button and selecting "Delay" on the subscription that you'd like to delay.

How can I update my subscription delivery address?

You can view and edit your delivery address for your subscriptions under the ‘view subscriptions’ section. Under this section your active subscriptions should be available for you to view, edit or alter including your shipping address for upcoming subscription deliveries.

Please note: if you have an order that just processed or is in transit, any changes you make to your shipping address will be applied to your next, unprocessed order.

How do I cancel my subscription?

You can cancel your subscription permanently at any time by logging in to your account and selecting ‘view subscriptions’ in this section it displays any of your current subscriptions and gives you the option to cancel. Alternatively, you can email us directly at letting us know you’d like to cancel.

Please note: if you have an order that just processed or is in transit, your cancellation will be applied to your following, unprocessed order.

Can I just order one month's worth and not be subscribed?

Yes, we still have the option to purchase one off. Simply select the “Single” option when selecting your choice of MitoQ product.

Can I add to or alter my subscription order?

Unfortunately, once a subscription order is placed, we’re unable to amend or add to the order. If you would like to alter or change your subscription product, we suggest cancelling your existing subscription and placing a new subscription with the desired product and amounts. You can also contact us directly at we’re more than happy to help.

What is the status of my order?

Items in stock are normally dispatched within the next 2 working days after an order is placed successfully.

An order confirmation email will be sent to you once the order has been placed successfully and a shipment confirmation email will be sent to you once it leaves our warehouse.

Can I change my orders?

In most circumstances it's not possible to make changes to your order once you've placed it. We apologize for the inconvenience. 

What if my order was damaged in shipment?

If you receive a damaged or defective item, we will be happy to send you a new product, please contact us.

Does MitoQ offer free samples?

MitoQ doesn’t normally offer free samples but freebies are given at giveaways and campaigns. Please follow our social media pages or sign up for our newsletter so you will be informed when this happens.

Will Duties and Taxes apply to my orders?

Orders can incur duties and taxes. Duties and taxes are determined by the customs agency within your country. Although charges are not always incurred, assessment of duties and taxes will be based on the value of the order and the Tax-free threshold, if it exists, for goods imported into your country. Payment of any duties and taxes is the responsibility of the recipient, and these fees are collected at the time of delivery.

If an international customer returns an item for whatever reason, we will not reimburse them for any part of any customs fees incurred.

What are my payment options?

We accept credit card (Visa, Mastercard and American Express) and PayPal.

How can I redeem an offer if I have a coupon code?

If your coupon code doesn't seem to work or if the page says "Your coupon code is invalid.", your coupon code might have expired, might be used already or might not be able to be used on selected products. Please check the terms and conditions of your coupon and if the problem still persists, please contact us. IMPORTANT NOTE: All promotion and special deals on are NOT applicable for wholesale account holders, unless otherwise stated.

Why I can't use a coupon code?

At the shopping cart page, you will see a box for promotion code. Please enter it if you have one, and click APPLY COUPON button to activate it. Please note that discount or free products should appear on the checkout page if the code is applied successfully. if you DO NOT see the discount or free product reflecting on the checkout page, please contact us before complete the order.

New Zealand public holiday dates.

Please note that as we are based in New Zealand, we may be operating in a different time zone to you. Our customer service, warehouse team and courier agents are not available on weekends and public holidays, please allow extra time for your order to be processed and delivered.

MitoQ Supplement

When should I take MitoQ?

We recommend that you take MitoQ in the morning on an empty stomach (prior to breakfast), at least 30 minutes before. Alternatively, you can take MitoQ 2 hours after eating.

MitoQ is actually water soluble, so it doesn't need to be taken with food or oils to assist with absorption.

Why do I need to take MitoQ on an empty stomach and why before breakfast?

We recommend taking MitoQ on an empty stomach before breakfast because, the absorption of MitoQ is significantly impaired if taken with food and taking before breakfast is a great time to do this as the stomach will be at its emptiest.

What results can I expect?

Everyone will experience MitoQ differently, depending on your age, your fitness, and whether you have a health condition. As different cells and organ systems “re-energise” at different speeds it can take days, weeks or months for you to experience the full effect of increased levels of energy and health.

Does MitoQ interact with any medicines?

MitoQ has been extensively tested for safety but not for interactions with prescription medicines. Please consult with your Physician.

What is the difference between MitoQ and NAD supplements?

NAD-focused supplements (such as Tru Niagen and Elysium Basis) contain nicotinamide riboside (a form of vitamin B3) and are good for supporting optimal NAD levels (a form of cellular fuel) within cells. In effect, they may improve the amount of this fuel your mitochondria can use to produce cellular energy. However like with a car - there's little point in putting high-grade fuel into an engine that's not running properly.

MitoQ by comparison is like a high-grade oil, tuning up your mitochondrial engines by optimizing antioxidant reserves within them and therefore helping to reduce free radical damage, helping your mitochondria to remain healthy and run more efficiently. When supported with MitoQ, your mitochondria and therefore your cells fire on all four cylinders, and that can include more efficient natural production of crucial molecules such as NAD and CoQ10 that mitochondria require to generate energy and protect cells.

Can I take MitoQ with other supplements?

MitoQ can be taken in combination with your other supplements.

Can I take a dose that’s higher than you recommend?

MitoQ's recommended dose is 10mg per day. MitoQ has been taken in doses as high as 80mg a day for a year during safety testing.

Are there any side effects?

At higher doses than usual (80mg per day) a small number of people experienced a mild upset stomach and nausea.

Can MitoQ replace my CoQ10/ubiquinol supplement?

Yes, MitoQ is based on an advance in CoQ10 technology and can replace CoQ10 or ubiquinol supplementation. However, if you are taking a statin you may want to consider continued CoQ10 supplementation on a low dose basis (50-100mg per day). But otherwise, as long as you have a normal diet, you will get enough CoQ10 from daily dietary intake. Please note: MitoQ lowers free radical leakage from mitochondria and accordingly will lower the requirement for high dose alternative antioxidant supplementation.

I am taking CoQ10 (aka ubiquinol or ubiquinone) supplements, how can your suggested dose (10mg/day) of MitoQ be adequate?

CoQ10 is an oily sticky molecule that is very hard to transport across cellular membranes. Mitochondria manufacture CoQ10 internally for this very reason. MitoQ is actively drawn into the mitochondria hundreds of times more effectively than CoQ10 and because of this you need substantially less than CoQ10 to achieve the same effect.

Is MitoQ natural?

MitoQ is derived from naturally occurring CoQ10, and has been modified to target cellular mitochondria more effectively.

Is MitoQ supplement safe to use during pregnancy?

As with most supplements, MitoQ has not been tested during pregnancy, therefore we do not recommend it is taken while pregnant. 

Supplements and medicines should only be taken in pregnancy when the benefits out-weigh the risk. Should you have any further questions, we recommend that you consult with your physician or obstetrician. She or he will know you and your pregnancy best and can work with you to ensure you have a safe and healthy pregnancy.

In what order should I apply MitoQ Advanced skincare range?

For best results, we recommend using the full range. Apply after using cleanser or toner and before your normal moisturizer or sunscreen.

What is the texture?

All products in the MitoQ Advanced Skincare range are light weight creams.

Why is the MitoQ Advanced skincare range different from other cosmeceutical skincare ranges?

The main difference is that our range combines our proprietary and patented ingredient MitoQ.  MitoQ works to re-program skin cells to act as if they were younger, leaving your skin feeling softer and looking firmer. The range has been developed to target multiple skin concerns and deliver clinically proven results so that your skin is healthy, radiant and youthful.

How do the rest of the ingredients in the skincare work to make this a highly effective range?

When should I see results?

The MitoQ’s skincare range has been designed to get visible effects within a few days of regular use due to the inclusion of clinically proven active ingredients designed to work synergistically with MitoQ.  In up to 6 weeks you will see the additional benefits of the MitoQ ingredient contributing to make your skin look more hydrated, smoother, have a more even skin tone and look more youthful.

Can MitoQ Advanced Skincare Range be used on all skin types?

Yes, MitoQ can be used on all skin types, including hypersensitive skin. We start from the premise of protecting the skin you have, so formulations are free from unnecessary irritants such as parabens, sulphates, betaines, DEA, TEA, artificial colours and fragrances.

Can I use MitoQ with my other skincare products?

Yes, MitoQ can be used alone or alongside your other skincare products. It can replace your usual moisturizers or serums, but it will also work with your other products for extra effect.

If I take MitoQ Skin Support/Protection Complex, can I stop using topical skin and beauty products?

MitoQ Skin Support/ Protection Complex is designed to support optimal skin health and beauty from the inside as the ultimate complement to your regular skin care regimen. Ideally, we recommend its use alongside the MitoQ Skincare Range for the best possible results for you and your skin.

If I already take a MitoQ supplement, can I also take MitoQ Skin Protection Complex?

MitoQ Skin Protection Complex contains the same amount of MitoQ as our other supplements (10mg per dose) so it can be used in place of, or in addition to, our standard MitoQ product with the added benefits of the extra ingredients.

If I take MitoQ Skin Support Complex, should I be using the MitoQ Skincare Range?

MitoQ Skin Support Complex is designed to support optimal skin health and beauty from the inside as the ultimate compliment to your regular skin care regimen. Ideally, we recommend its use alongside MitoQ Advanced Skincare Range for the best possible results for you and your skin.

Are your products natural?

MitoQ Advanced Skincare Range is designed to support the skin naturally so formulations are free from unnecessary irritants such as parabens, sulfates, betaines, DEA, TEA, artificial colors and fragrances. However some of the range does include natural elements including Rosehip, Macadamia and Pomegranate Seed Oils.

What does the product smell like?

Nothing specific but the sum of its parts. Therefore, you may detect a hint of chamomile, rosemary and almonds.  There is no added fragrance.

Why are all the products yellow?

The products are all yellow due to the color of the patented active ingredient MitoQ.

Are the MitoQ products tested on animals?

No, MitoQ does not test any of its products on animals. MitoQ has a policy to use cruelty-free suppliers and animal test-free ingredients, but we can’t 100% guarantee that each individual ingredient did not undergo some degree of animal testing at some point in its development history. Our products only contain ingredients with an established record of safety, meaning that any additional or ongoing animal testing would be unnecessary, and therefore extremely unlikely to be carried out by current suppliers.

If you are on a budget, what products should you buy first?

The products are designed to be used together or you can select the one that you feel will address your concerns and use it with your other skincare products.

How long would I expect a MitoQ skincare product to last?

Each MitoQ skincare product is expected to last between 8 and 10 weeks. 

Does MitoQ guarantee their products?

We are so confident in our products that if, after using MitoQ skincare for 3 months, and you are not satisfied for any reason you can get a 100% refund within 4 months of the date of purchase. You can find out more here.

My MitoQ cream or serum container is not pumping – what could be the reason?

The container has a locking system on the top to prevent any unwanted release of product especially when travelling (right to open, left to close).  Check that the silver rotating ring on the top has not been put into the lock position.

Do the MitoQ skincare products offer sun protection?

MitoQ can help to protect your skin from the after-effects of infra-red and ultraviolet (UV) light damage, but it is not a sunscreen. The products can be used in combination with all UV sun blocks to give you broad-spectrum protection from the effects of sun exposure.
