Cellular Radiance Protecting Serum AM Review

Published Date: July 14, 2017

Mark from Truth in Ageing recently gave our MitoQ Cellular Radiance Protecting Serum AM, 5/5 stars. Have a read of his full review below:

The heat and humidity already reign across the south. For me this not only means that it’s time to change to a lighter wardrobe, but also a bit of a change in my skin care routine. I have oily skin, although I am in my 50s, and the degree of oiliness varies with the season, with sultry summer days being the worst. My challenge is to find lighter skin care products for the summer that won’t clog pores and create blemishes while still providing the anti-aging benefits that I need year-round.

I believe I have found my answer in the new MitoQ Cellular Radiance Protecting Serum AM.

The MitoQ website is intriguing with their products formulated for cellular regeneration and protection.  I am no scientist, but do see there is science (and credible testing) behind their products. What I do understand are some of the ingredients that always work well for my skin, including hyaluronic acid for hydration and plumping, vitamin E for antioxidant protection and pomegranate to regenerate.

This serum also features the brand’s patented antioxidant complex, which many have already explained in their reviews. MitoQ works on the mitochondria to give cells the energy they need to act younger. It contains Mediatone, a purified octadecenedioic acid molecule which acts along the melanin pathway to regulate pigmenation, and a stable form of vitamin C (Ascorbyl glucoside) to brighten your skin and stimulate collagen synthesis.

MitoQ Skincare For Men

I began my test with fairly high hopes, as this product claims that “skin will be refined, have a more even tone, and look luminous, fresh and youthful.” I have to say that I’m not disappointed. I applied the serum in the morning after cleansing and was happy to find it was a fragrance-free, lightweight consistency that wasn’t greasy and absorbed quickly. I only had to dispense a couple pumps for my entire face and neck.  Only using this product (and a lightweight sunscreen when necessary) for a month, I found my skin was adequately moisturized and did not break out or experience blackheads. I think it actually helped to clear up some existing blemishes and seemed to help keep my skin clear.

After the first couple days of use, I did notice a more even skin tone. Then, after about a week, my skin appeared plumper and had a definite “fresher” appearance.  Although subtle, after three weeks I can see a small difference in my skin being a bit more refined — mainly smoother than before — although I can’t say I see a change in pore size. Finally, I should note that the changes have been noticed on my  face and not really any to the neck area, although I used it on both.

My overall take on this product is positive. Although not dramatic, I do see skin improvements that, based on my experience so far, will likely increase with continued use. Recommended for all skin types, I found this works very well with my oily skin and fits my need for a lighter product that I can use during summer months without causing blemishes or clogged pores.  It is pricey, but I can see it working on top of the skin now and like the fact that it is also working below for better skin in the future. I highly recommend!
