On the recommendation of a work colleague, a Doctor that I work with, I started using MitoQ skin care in April this year. I was skeptical at first as I have used good quality skin care for decades – having been disciplined in 'always buying the best you can afford' by my mother and older sister. But, within 2 - 3 weeks I did notice a difference. Dry patches I'd struggled with around my jaw line went away and I could see a more even colour.
I began taking the supplements in June, and here I really noticed a difference - not in my appearance but in energy levels. At this point I should mention I am 50, and a married mother of 2 adult children (both at University)with a full time job in injury rehabilitation. Although I have always worked, distance running has been a passion of mine since my early 20's. Back then I ran competitively, distances from 5K through to marathons.
For the past 15 or so years it has been more for fun and fitness. My pace had been getting slower from around age 33/34, and for the past 10 years I've had problems with muscle cramps after my longer runs. This year, the year I turned 50, and the same year I began post graduate study in Health Science at Auckland Uni, I decided to run one last Marathon after reading about the Queenstown Marathon in an Air NZ magazine.
As I upped the training I fully expected the usual fatigue to kick in, and the cramps to increase - but it didn't happen.

So, in the middle of winter I was getting up at 5 to run before work, doing an eight hour work day and then studying into the evening. I know that without MitoQ this would have left me drained, but I felt and still feel, higher energy levels than for many years.
I finished my marathon, and although it was not as quickly as I hoped but this was largely due to weather conditions on the day. My times over other distances have actually improved. I am very committed to MitoQ and recommend it to anyone who will listen - several of my running friends are also trying it and also reporting good results.
