Most commonly known as a weed or perhaps a pretty purple flower, Milk thistle possesses many healing properties. Milk Thistle has been used for over 2,000 years, dating back to the year 40 A.D when the Greek physician and botanist Dioscorides was the first to discover its healing properties.
Milk Thistle works by drawing toxins out of the body that can cause a range of health symptoms and issues – high cholesterol, unbalanced blood sugar levels, alcohol use, skin damage and much more. The seeds and leaves of it can be consumed but it is much more effective to take a Milk Thistle extract, particularly in a supplement form, as you can consume a higher dosage and see better results.
Traditional Milk Thistle extract is made from the seeds which contain the active ingredient Silymarin.
But it is renowned for having poor intestinal absorption meaning its benefits are limited. Siliphos is a patented, clinically researched form of Silymarin and is designed to be 10 times more bioavailable than Silymarin.
Low bioavailability means it is hard for our bodies to exploit all the properties and get the full benefit.
Siliphos is formulated through a proprietary technology (Phytosome®), which is designed to optimize the bioavailability of selected active compounds in plants. Combining Siliphos with non-GMO phospholipids (a class of lipids which are a major component of all cell membranes) allows it be be directly absorbed into cell membranes.
This means that Silliphos is significantly more effective at delivering the results and benefits we need than standard Milk Thistle.
Particularly with liver detoxification and its overall health.
