Meet: Dr. Mark Menolascino

As an Integrative Physician and Internal Medicine Specialist, MitoQ advocate Dr. Mark Menolascino lives and breathes health. When he’s not supporting others with their wellbeing, he’s taking care of his own: participating in sports, outdoor adventures, and spending time with his grandchildren.

Career background

Dr. Menolascino holds quite an impressive resume. He completed medical school at the University of Nebraska Medical Center, Internal Medicine Specialist Training at Banner Health Arizona, and holds a master's degree in Pharmacology and Immunology. He also holds board certifications in Internal Medicine, Holistic Medicine, Anti-Aging Medicine, and Advanced Hormone Management.

Dr. Menolascino’s career has always been driven by an interest in health and wellbeing. Before he began practicing as an Integrative Physician and Internal Medicine Specialist, he worked as a personal trainer and also enjoyed a career in corporate wellness. Now, within his clinic, he provides his clients with a holistic approach to health, with the goal of providing others with the tools and skills to live healthier lives.

Hobbies and passions

Outside of the clinic, Dr. Menolascino likes to spend most of his time – in nature’s playground. “My big passion is to be outside”, he explains. “Whether it’s hiking, biking, or fishing – I'm a very active person.”

It was during one of his outdoor excursions that, at the age of thirty, he had an epiphany about the aging process.

“I was hiking, and I was passed by an older individual. I asked him how old he was. He told me he was 71. He was out-hiking me! At that point, I realized that age is just a number. It’s how your body and your cells are aging that makes the difference.”

A healthy approach to aging

As a former professional athlete and the founder of the University of Nebraska's men’s and women’s soccer clubs, Dr. Menolascino continues to enjoy a variety of sports – particularly skiing. To continue on with this passion throughout the aging process, he applies the health skills and tools, that he’s learned, to his own life.

“I love to ski, but I want to ski with my grandchildren when I’m older. To do that, I need to do everything right and support my body as best I can.”
